Mahrie G. Reid writes mysteries set in her home province of Nova Scotia. The Caleb Cove Mysteries now number a total of four. Mahrie has been active Central Alberta writing community for over thirty years and is a member of ARWA and Sisters in Crime. She participates in the organization of When Words Collide, a popular reader/writer conference of 750 attendees. Additionally, she sits on panels, provides blue pencil editing, and presents on mystery topics for WWC and local writer organizations.
Her published work includes short stories, poems, trade articles, technical and research papers and newspaper features. Now, she prefers to write what she loves and treats everything else as a learning opportunity. The first two books in the Caleb’s Cover Mystery Series were published in 2014. (Came Home Dead and Came Home to a Killing) and the third came out in July 2016 (Came Home Too Late). Book 4, Came Home from the Grave was released in October 2017. Her historical novel, also set on the south shore of Nova Scotia, was requested by BWL Publishing for a collection of Canadian Historic Brides. The Left-Behind Bride, which is set in 1929, was launched April1, 2018.
